Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has alleged that the
British Government has concluded plans
to have Kaduna State Governor,
Nasir El-Rufai, become next Vice President when President Muhammadu
Buhari is declared dead.
The former minister made this claim in response to the visit of
British former Prime Minister, Tony Blair to the Kaduna State Governor
on Thursday, where he pledged to support the state deliver good
governance.
But Fani-Kayode, in a series of tweets on his twitter handle, alleged
that Blair was in Kaduna State to convey British approval of the plan
to have El-Rufai installed as the next VP and eventually become
President at the expiration of their administration’s first tenure.
He said, “When Buhari is declared dead the plan is for Osinbajo to
appoint Nasir El-Rufai as his VP. Tony Blair has come to Kaduna to
convey British approval of that plan. El-Rufai is slotted to take over
from Osinbajo in 2019 but God will shock them. When will the Brits leave
us alone?
“When will they stop manipulating us and interfering in our affairs?
The blood of the Christians and Shiite Muslims of S. Kaduna speaks
against El-Rufai and the Buhari administration. Their time is over and
their power is broken. The Lord shocked Buhari. He will shock this lot
too.”
Fani-Kayode, like Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, had
unequivocally dismissed Acting President Yemi Osinbajo’s recent claim
that Buhari was recuperating very quickly and in high spirits, as mere
fabrication. They have challenged the Federal Government to show video
and photo evidence.
